WSEU Travel RequirementsMay, 2007
In order to prevent conflicts in scheduling and to ensure teams are attending sanctioned events, WSEU requires all teams traveling to tournaments to apply for permission to do so.
Approval must be given by the Technical/ Premier Committee.
Your application will not be processed unless the following items are provided fifteen (15) days in advance of the event. If it is not received at the WSEU office 15 days in advance, your application may not be approved. Teams traveling outside of Manitoba must apply through the MSA, and copies of that application must be sent to WSEU before final approval. An application to travel outside of North America must be received 90 days prior to the event and must also have the approval of the CSA.

For teams traveling WSEU will accept a copy of the MSA travel application form as notification. C.P.I.C. forms for staff persons listed on the team registration form: Coach, assistant coach, manager, etc. The Manitoba Soccer Association screening policy states that staff traveling with the team and listed on the roster must have a CPIC current within 36 months of the event. Our Screening Officer will assist you with this.
Attach a copy of your MSA/WYSA stamped team registration form. All players must be registered with their district association or club. Suspended players may not play.
A copy of the tournament application form or other document from the event hosts indicating the event is sanctioned by a Provincial or State Association.
Release/permission form from any guest players club invited to play with your club in the tournament. Forms are included in the MSA’s Policies and Procedures Application to travel link.
Permission must be given from WSEU before proceeding to the MSA.
All players and teams registered with WSEU who travel and take part in tournament or exhibition games in or out of the Province will be governed by the following rules and regulations.
Any coach taking another teams/clubs player without written approval will be charged with tampering and face a suspension of up to one year.
WSEU will suspend the coach of any team that knowingly participates in a non-sanctioned tournament/event. Suspension will be one (1) year.
Persons found guilty of improper conduct while traveling may, upon receipt of any written report, be subject to further discipline than that imposed by the tournament attended.
The team manager and/or coach will be required to give a written report of the event within four weeks of the team’s return. Forms are included here
