Respect in Sport

Effective December 2007 Sport Manitoba requires  that all soccer coaches and managers complete the online Respect in Sport program.  All rostered team officials within WSEU are required to complete the RIS and to file a certificate with our office. The deadlines to do so are:

May 13, 2011 for the Outdoor season.

November 7, 2011 for the Indoor season.

Once a team official completes the RIS program, the program issues a certificate.

Please forward a copy of this certificate (includes completion date and certificate number) to WSEU at officemanager@wseu.ca , ideally attached to the Team Official Registration Form filed at the beginning of the soccer season.

Team officials who have completed the program in the past for soccer or other sports, but no longer have a copy of the certificate, can print off a copy by logging back into the program. They can retrieve their Respect in Sport number by accessing the "Get Certification Number" link through the website listed below. If this is unsuccessful, please contact the RIS program directly.

The Respect in Sport website can be found at http://www.sportmanitoba.ca/page.php?id=100

Sport Manitoba intends to require periodic RIS recertification, with recertification dates still to be determined.
